Pharmacy List and Lookup

VEHRDICT provides access to a nationwide database of pharmacies, enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and convenience of prescription management. Whether you're entering a new prescription or saving a preferred location for future use, this feature ensures patients receive their medications promptly and correctly.

Why Use the Pharmacy List?

Maintaining a list of frequently used or nearby pharmacies enables:

Faster e-prescribing workflows.
Fewer manual entry errors when selecting pharmacy details.
Consistent use of preferred pharmacy locations for specific patients.
Improved patient satisfaction through accurate and timely fulfillment.

Accessing the Pharmacy List

To view and manage pharmacy records, navigate to: Lists → Pharmacies

Adding Pharmacies by ZIP Code

You can import all pharmacies in a specific ZIP code using the following steps:

Click the Import button at the top right of the Pharmacy List page.
Enter the desired **ZIP code** in the prompt.
Click OK.
VEHRDICT will automatically import every pharmacy registered in that ZIP code to your pharmacy list.

This saves time by eliminating the need to manually enter common local pharmacies.

Search Functionality

The search bar at the top of the table lets you find pharmacies based on any column value, such as:

Pharmacy Name
Address
City or State
ZIP Code
NPI or other identifiers

Pharmacy Lookup on Map

The Look Up function allows providers and staff to view nearby pharmacies on a map based on their current location. This is useful for:

Selecting the most convenient pharmacy for the patient.
Confirming addresses and hours of operation.
Comparing pharmacy distances visually.

Selecting a Pharmacy for a Patient

When entering patient demographics or during prescription entry:

Click the pharmacy selection dropdown.
Search and select the desired pharmacy from your saved list.
Optionally, click the Google Maps link (if available) to verify the location visually.

Tip: You can assign a default or preferred pharmacy to each patient record to streamline future e-prescriptions.

Integration with e-Prescribing

Pharmacies from this list are available for selection when writing prescriptions under the Electronic Prescriptions section. This integration ensures that data flows smoothly from patient chart to pharmacy delivery, with address accuracy checks and delivery preferences honored.
