Plug-ins
WebShuttle is a web-based platform that is accessed through a web browser. However, web browsers do have limitations when dealing with features such as scheduled processes, accessing files from the user's hard drive and integrating with desktop apps such as Microsoft Word. For this reason, WebShuttle includes plug-ins which are desktop applications that can be used to perform certain features more efficiently. There are two plug-ins for WebShuttle. They are "DocShuttle Dictator Plug-in" and "DocShuttle Transcriptionist Plug-in". These programs are described below.
DocShuttle Dictator Plug-in
DocShuttle Dictator Plug-in is a modified version of the DocShuttle Dictator software by Bytescribe. This program can be used for features such as automatic importing and uploading from handheld recorders, automatic downloading and printing of documents and recording audio files using a microphone.
DocShuttle Transcriptionist Plug-in
DocShuttle Transcriptionist Plug-in is a modified version of the DocShuttle Transcriptionist software by Bytescribe. This program can be used by transcriptionist to more efficiently create, type and upload documents using Microsoft Word. This program stores custom templates and it can upload and download batches of audio files and documents with one click. It integrates seamlessly into WebShuttle.
